On a Sunday Morning

Heavy showers in the morning today.

Listening to : Ali Imam – Badnaam (Tribute To Aamir Zaki). Just recalled that Amir Zaki bhi koi tha ...

Fifteen minutes later:

Talked to Asif Ali (AA) on phone after a long time, a chain smoker and a friend since university days, and then room neighbor; we shared a small common terrace in the hostel at the backside of our rooms on first floor. Though a small terrace but still sufficient enough to accommodate a ten feet long heavy wooden bench he managed to seize from probably the mess hall on ground floor. Must have been a little bit of hard work to bring it upstairs. It was the second year of engineering, year 2001, and for next two years, from the start of autumn in September till summer vacations in May, this terrace used to be our one of the calmest places in hostel to laze around in the evenings.

Mashoor e Zamana Bhatti Sb, AA's school-fellow, sometimes used to join us there. Both used to smoke while we all listened to the Pakistani pop music on a tape recorder in a loud volume. Don't remember the fate of that tape recorder; it was replaced by PC and woofers later.

While i am typing the post, i am reminded by my wife not to get nostalgic, call the plumber and get the geyser fixed, water is cold in the morning and she can't use it to wash the baby. And do i know that a wall hanger in the washroom and the baby's bicycle need a fix too..? You are such a lazy person, get over this nostalgia - so that's how it is ... good old days of past to this day!

Anyway, signing out with a good song below, enjoy:
